Taking a road trip through the United States or Canada?

The North American open road… there is nothing quite like it. Eating fresh watermelon from a fruit stand in the countryside, exploring little antique shops, hunting through college town bookstores, and touring national monuments. The views in North America are magnificent, and people are welcoming everywhere you go. To see it all is the dream of many a traveler, and my oh my is there much to see!

Why not see all of it with the comfort and safety of the Clever Travel Companion’s underwear with pockets! We also have t-shirts (both crew neck and v-neck), tank tops, and longjohn’s - all with hidden zippered pockets to keep your valuables safe.

You may be wondering, does North America really have that much of a problem with pickpockets? The answer is a resounding yes! The United States as a whole experiences 6,150,598 thefts a year - thefts that do not include burglary, robberies, housebreaking, or theft of a motor vehicle. Those 6 million thefts a year are pickpockets and muggings. That is 6 million thefts whose impact could be greatly lessened if the victims had only been wearing Clever Travel Companion clothing with hidden pockets.

Here are the top 10 U.S. Cities for number of pickpockets per year:

  1. New York, New York - 112,526

  2. Chicago, Illinois - 78,444

  3. Houston, Texas - 77,058

  4. San Antonio, Texas - 67,684

  5. Los Angeles, California - 57,414

  6. Dallas, Texas - 41,481

  7. Phoenix, Arizona - 39,643

  8. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - 37,941

  9. Austin, Texas - 37,054

  10. Columbus, Ohio - 30,204

Unfortunately, the Canadian government doesn’t publish theft statistics for their cities or municipalities, but we do know that overall Canada has a total of 512,230 thefts every year. That is still quite a large number when you think of the size of Canada compared to the United States.

Be safe out there, and wear your Clever Travel Companion clothes with hidden pockets. Happy travels, ya’ll!
