Sarlat, a Beautiful Town in the Lot, France

In my opinion Sarlat in the Lot region is one fo France's most beautiful places. The whole region is full of beautiful old houses, villages, castles, monasteries. And they have some of the best cheese in the world! Compared to more well known areas, like provence and the Cote d'Azur, there are relatively fewer tourists too, making everything more affordable and less crowded. but then again, it is France, so there will always be a lot of vistors.
